How does offline mode actually work on patrol? +
Guards can scan NFC, QR, and GPS checkpoints, file incident reports, capture photos, and take notes with no connectivity. Everything queues locally on the device and syncs the moment the phone is back on a signal. Original timestamps are preserved, so the audit trail shows when the event actually happened, not when it uploaded.
Can we use our existing NFC checkpoints or do we need new hardware? +
Most existing NFC tags work out of the box. If you are starting fresh, we can supply tags in the welcome kit. QR codes are also supported, and GPS-only checkpoints work for outdoor perimeter routes where installing physical tags is not practical.
What does location traffic show, and who can see it? +
Location traffic plots every patrol scan on a map of your property so leadership can see exactly where guards were and when. Each scan is a dot with a timestamp, and you can filter by shift, day, or week. Access is role-based, so typically security leadership and property managers see the full map, while guards see their own route history.
How do incident reports hold up for insurance and legal review? +
Every incident is timestamped, attributed to a named user, and stored with any attached photos or videos. The full audit trail, edits included, is exportable as a PDF or CSV. Our customers have used this format successfully for insurance claims, board reviews, and as supporting documentation in legal disputes.
How long does implementation take for the security module? +
Most buildings are live in 2 to 4 weeks, depending on patrol complexity and hardware setup. Our onboarding team handles checkpoint configuration, route design, user setup, and guard training. You get a dedicated implementation manager for the duration.
